Indonesia travel ban leaves workers stranded during Ramadan

Yearly during Ramadan greater than 20 million workers depart Indonesia’s capital, Jakarta, to travel again to their hometowns earlier than the Muslim vacation of Eid.
However the COVID-19 outbreak has disrupted that centuries-old custom – as Indonesian authorities have banned almost all travel into and in another country.
Now, many say they’ll not afford to remain in Indonesia’s huge cities.
